Cinema Under the Stars: Celebrating Donna Barnard’s Legacy
Join us for the 2024 Fall fundraiser, "Cinema Under the Stars: Celebrating Donna Barnard’s Legacy," hosted by the Donna H Barnard Charitable Foundation. Enjoy a delightful evening of socializing from 5 to 7 PM, followed by an outdoor movie double feature of two of Donna’s favorite movies, The Pink Panther starring Steve Martin and Second Hand Lions starting at 7 PM. Families, staff, students, community members, all are welcome. Bring your own adult beverages, cooler, and lawn chairs and come and join us for an evening of fun fundraising honoring the memory of Donna Barnard.
Pre Order a meal as there will be limited meal quantities available on the night of the event.

DHB Scholarship History
The Donna H. Barnard Charitable Foundation honors the legacy of Donna Barnard, a beloved chemistry teacher, coach, and mentor at Portland High School in Portland, Maine who was diagnosed with cancer in June of 2022 and passed away July 22, 2022. DHB Scholarships a 501c was established at that time.
As a student and athlete, coach, or teacher Donna dedicated 45 of her 55 years to the Portland School system, leaving an indelible mark on her community through her passion for teaching, coaching, and acts of kindness. A competitive runner and Hall of Fame athlete, she inspired countless students and athletes, and her impact extends beyond the classroom. The Foundation supports Portland High School students who exemplify Donna’s school spirit and character and aims to expand its reach to benefit communities everywhere, perpetuating Donna’s legacy of kindness, dedication, and community spirit.

Barnard Charitable Foundation is to honor the enduring legacy of Donna Barnard by supporting students, educators, and coaches who embody her school spirit, kindness, and dedication to their community.
